Common plumbing problems that Peninsula Plumbing can help solve

plumbing issues
  1. Leaking Taps & Toilets

Leaking taps and toilets can wind up costing you a lot of money on your monthly water bills. If you have a tap or toilet that is constantly dripping, then we recommend you have it repaired. It may be as simple as tightening up fittings, replacing washers or valves.

  1. Blocked Drains and Pipes

Blocked drains and pipes are common plumbing issues. If the drains in your home are blocked then they will not be draining properly. This could be happening due to hair getting clogged in the drain or it could even be due to grease and fat being poured down the sink. Whatever the cause of the blockage is, our plumber will be properly equipped to clear drains.

  1. Blocked Toilets & Sewer Backing Up

Blockages are caused by a variety of things, from flushing non-flushable items to flushing something larger than the toilet is designed to handle. As soon as you notice a backed-up sewer problem ie. if your toilet will not flush, overflows or has a high-water level that will not go down, you will need to call Peninsula Plumbing.

  1. No Hot Water

There is nothing worse than turning on your shower and getting blasted with cold water. No hot water is caused by faults with the hot water system, a burst pipe, or an electrical issue. Our plumbers will be able to inspect and find what is wrong with your system and can make the necessary adjustments or repairs.

  1. Issues with Septic Tank or Soakage

Is your septic system functioning correctly? Does your septic tank need to be pumped out?  Raw sewerage can pose a serious threat to your family’s health.  Prevent overflowing sewerage at your property and arrange for a plumber to inspect your tank. If your septic tank needs to be pumped out we can arrange for our septic truck to attend.

  1. Worn Out Fixtures

Plumbing fixtures don’t last forever, they will eventually wear out causing them to not function correctly. Taps, showerheads and valves may need to be replaced on a regular basis to keep your homes plumbing system running smoothly.

  1. Gas Leaks

Gas leaks are dangerous and can even prove fatal if you are exposed to the gas for too long. Carbon monoxide is both colourless and odourless so it can be difficult to detect. If your gas appliances are leaking in any way, then you will need to arrange for one of our licensed gas plumbers to inspect and rectify any issues.

  1. Low Water Pressure

Low water pressure is a common plumbing problem that you may encounter. It is an indication that there is something wrong with your plumbing system. Your plumber may need to replace pipes or repair another issue to get the pressure back to an acceptable range.
